RE: MantaRouter - Max and Max for Live Patch
Sorry for the delay, I couldn't log in earlier for some reason. I've posted a new version. See if that fixes your problem. (You might want to hit reload once you get to the page to make sure you're not looking at a cached version of my site.)

RE: MantaRouter - Max and Max for Live Patch
Hi.Any idea how to make the router work in win xp? I just recieved a new manta objekt from jeff to test a few things but i cant get any midi data out of the router thru midiyoke or my midi interfaces. The "from max1" only works in osx i think.

RE: MantaRouter - Max and Max for Live Patch
I don't have access to a PC right now to do testing, but in theory at least it should work.
It sounds like you're trying to get it to send MIDI externally through a MIDI interface? It's not designed for that so won't work, as far as I know, on either platform. However, you should be able to accomplish that by routing it through your favorite DAW. Jeff - can you confirm the standalone version is working correctly on PC? Damon |

RE: MantaRouter - Max and Max for Live Patch
Yeah, I've just looked into this. For some reason, the whole "from Max/MSP" stuff in the possible MIDI outputs doesn't exist in the PC version of Max. I haven't yet figured out how someone is supposed to route things within the computer on Max on a PC. I should think MIDIyoke, but perhaps the mantarouter doesn't allow for the user to change the name of the midi device? Is that the case, Damon?

RE: MantaRouter - Max and Max for Live Patch
"from Max/MSP" is not specified in the patch. The midi objects are all there with no argument so they will send MIDI through whatever the default is. I don't know exactly what that means on PC. Is there really no built in MIDI routing on PC?

Hi Damon. No there is no build in Midirouting in windows at all.I use Midiyoke as a router inbetween software. It works well and offers up to 11 ports. A Simple dropdown menu to select different midi destinations would be great. |

Yes, that is the conclusion I've found as well (after consulting with a PC person). I'll post an update in the next day or so.
